HAMMOND, In poor health. (WLS) — The mom of a person who was killed at a fuel station in Hammond, and whose case sparked discussions about fuel stations closing in a single day, is talking out.
Ronnie Martin was shot to dying in June and since then an ordinance within the metropolis is being thought of that may shut all fuel stations in a single day to forestall crime.

Martin’s mom, who’s from Mississippi, has been within the Chicago space since her son’s dying and vows to remain till she will get justice.
Diane Morgan nonetheless relives the darkish day her 35-year-old was killed. The taking pictures occurred in a single day on June 25 at a Luke’s fuel station off Sibley and State Line Avenue.

Monday the Hammond Metropolis Council mentioned the potential for requiring fuel stations within the metropolis to shut in a single day.
“If one thing optimistic can come out of this, I do not need no different dad or mum, mom, anyone to really feel like I really feel proper now,” Morgan stated.
Town council is about to proceed their talks over the brand new proposed ordinance subsequent week.
