GWS Giants defeat Hawthorn Hawks to maintain their finals hopes properly and really alive

The GWS Giants have stored their finals hopes alive with a 13-point win over the Hawks in Sydney.

The victory sees the Giants transfer into ninth on the ladder, equal on factors with Essendon and Adelaide — who play one another tomorrow — and half a recreation forward of Geelong, who play North Melbourne at Kardinia Park.

Stephen Coniglio was the star for the Giants, kicking three objectives to go together with his 30 disposals.
