Chicago Fireplace Division rescues lady from South Aspect high-rise blaze on Cottage Grove

CHICAGO (WLS) — The Chicago Fireplace Division battled a fireplace in a South Aspect high-rise Monday morning.
The fireplace is in a 10-story constructing within the 3500-block of South Cottage Grove Avenue.
Chopper 7 flew above the scene as firefighters helped a girl out of a window on the seventh ground and onto a ladder.

CFD stated 5 folks had been transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.
Based on CFD spokesman Larry Langford, there’s now no warmth within the constructing and no water or electrical energy on the seventh ground. He stated the preliminary explanation for the fireplace is smoking in mattress or careless use of smoking supplies.
