Chicago crime: Burglar smashes patio door, takes money, merchandise from 2nd Restaurant in Lakeview

2nd Restaurant within the 3100 block of Halsted Avenue in Lakeview was hit by a burglar who smashed a patio door and stole almost $1,000 of money and merch.
CHICAGO (WLS) — A burglar made off with a whole bunch of {dollars} in money and merchandise from 2nd restaurant in Lakeview, and it was all caught on video.
The person broke into the restaurant within the 3100-block of North Halsted in a single day, smashing his method in by a patio door. He then took money from the register and merchandise, which the proprietor mentioned totaled as much as just a little underneath $1,000.
The restaurant was closed Monday for repairs, and is predicted to reopen Tuesday.

It had beforehand been damaged into in November 2023. No arrests have been made in that incident.
Nobody is at the moment in custody for the in a single day break-in.
