Needed Chicago man arrested in Oregon, used faux IDs, social safety numbers to evade seize, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — A person needed for a number of violent crimes in Chicago has been captured after being discovered hundreds of miles away.
U.S. Marshals arrested Rene Chandler Wednesday in Portland, Oregon.
Chandler is needed on 4 arrests warrants out of Cook dinner County. He additionally has three lively warrants out of Colorado.
Two of the Cook dinner County warrants are linked to sexual assaults from 2018. One other warrant concerned a theft in 2019. The fourth was from 2020, when Chandler allegedly escaped from digital monitoring.
Investigators mentioned he’d been utilizing faux names, IDs, and social safety numbers to evade seize.
Chandler is at present being held at a jail in Oregon.
